Mom's Visit

Shopping at the Mast General Store. We took Mom to the mountains on Saturday and this is a great store along the road. We each bought a cast iron griddle to make pancakes on and some cute Fall and Christmas decorations.

Andy and I. This was taken along the side of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Weekend at the Beach

The view from the top of the beach house. It faced the sound side so we were able to watch all the boats come and go. It was really relaxing and I think we both feel a little bit revived after a long week!

The beach house had a gazebo down by the dock...just walk out the back door, down some steps and there you are. We spent most of Friday night out there swinging, chatting with Andy's folks. It was great. I love a good porch swing!

This was the view at the end of the dock looking back toward the gazebo and the house.

We ate at a late lunch at Paddy's Hallow. It was a small pub in the Cotton Exchange in downtown Wilmington. It was storming really bad out and drove us away from the beach, so we decided to go downtown. It's very quaint and old...a trip back in time if I may be so corny:-) The rain followed us downtown, so we took cover here. Andy's folks were with us. They got salads and Andy and I split the steak and shrimp. Yum!
