Fall, Family and Birthdays

We went to Jamie's house to celebrate Lillie's 2nd birthday. Lillie got some cute stuff. Jamie's birthday is this month too, so we wished him a happy birthday. AND, Miriam's birthday was the end of October, so we celebrated her birthday too. We are all about birthdays over here:-)

Oh, the things you do to keep your kids happy and smiling:-) I started to hyperventilate after about 5 minutes of blowing the pinwheel.

It was such a pretty fall day. The kiddos, Miriam and I decided to swing for a while. Notice Drew didn't get the memo about the pink shirts. Haha!

We Voted

Drew voted today:-) So did Mom and Dad. We fulfilled our duty as citizens of a democracy. And now we fulfill our duty as Christians and pray for our nation!!!

As we were pulling out of our polling place, we spotted this Bob Hunter sign. It was designed by my hubby:-) If he wins, it's because of this awesome sign!!!

Sick Or Treat

Don't let his smile fool you. This little Trick or Treater was sick on his first Halloween. We went to the doctor that mornng because his cold had taken a turn for the worse. The doctor said he has Croup:-( He is still sick today...coughing and sniffing and sneezing up a storm. Since Croup is a virus, we didn't get any anitbiotics. Just steriods to help keep his airways open while he's sleeping at night. He was pretty cranky yesterday...it could have been 'Roid Rage. Haha! Poor baby. Mommy and Daddy are ready for Drew to get better!!!!

Miscellaneous Drew Fun

Drew sat in his highchair for the first time the other night. He's been sitting up on his own (surrounded by pillows) for a few days, so I decided it was time for the big boy chair! He really likes it. Likes being up high where all the action is.

Sick Little Boy

Poor Drew has gotten his first cold:-( He is not feeling well and it breaks our hearts. His little nose is so runny and he has a sad, little cough. I took his temp this afternoon and he has a low grade fever. He's been pretty blah all day long. I laid him on our bed with his softest blanket and let him watch his Baby Einstein DVD. Normally, he is a ball of energy...always moving, always talking, always squirming, but today he was so quiet and just wanted to snuggle. Aunt Miriam came for supper and that boosted his spirits for a while, but come 7:00 he hit a wall!!! So, now he is in bed, dressed in his warmest jammies and tucked in with his softest blanket. Poor baby:-(

Six Months Old Today!

Our little guy is six months old today. He wanted to take a picture with his puppy. He LOVES Gracie. Laughs at her all the time. Gracie likes him back:-)

Where did we go?

I just wanted to take some time to let everyone know that we are alive and well. I have totally dropped the ball on this whole blogging thing and picture posting...I've heard from a few to "update your site!" So, here goes the update.
The biggest news is that tomorrow we will be parents of a SIX MONTH OLD! Holy cow, where does the time go. I guess time flies when you are sleep deprived. Ha! I can't believe it's been 1/2 a year....lets see 6 months ago tomorrow mom and I were shopping in Target and I started to feel a little weird. Then we went on to BJs and as I was looking for cards, my first contraction hit...with a bang no less. Of course, in a hurry to get home, we decided to check out at the self-check-outs thinking that would be fast. I'm in labor, so time is an issue. Well, of course I would pick the one that was totally malfunctioning. And of course on the drive back to the house I would have to get behind some little man driving a moped down a two lane road during the busiest time of the day. If I wasn't a nice, Christan gal, I just may have ran him over! Then, about 4 hours later, Drew was born at 8:02! He's been in a hurry ever since!!!
We sure do love our little guy. He makes us laugh everyday and pull our hair out every night...hahah!!! I'll post some pics tomorrow...I promise. He loves being outside these days(cries whenever we come in), so I think we'll do an outdoor, fall, 6 month photo shoot.
Anyway, Andy and I are doing good. Andy is working, working, working like a mad man and trying to shake a nasty cold. I am doing the mommy thing and that keeps me busy. I hope all of you are doing well!

The Carolina Panthers had a game today, so the boys put on their jerseys and pulled for their team! They make quite the pair, don't you think?!?! P.S. Andy has not converted to Islam...it's the name of one of the players....haha!

Our Little Bug

We took Drew to get his pictures taken a few weeks ago. This is one of my favorites:-) He's just a few days over 4 months. He did such a good job...smiling for all of the pictures. I thought he might have a hard time with a stranger up in his face with big camera, but he was strikin' a pose! There are some other shots, but I'll post them later...spread it out.
